How to get 5-year Multiple Entry Tourist Visa for Dubai

Dubai is one of the fastest developing countries and attracts millions of tourists. As a tourist place, Dubai is now offering greater opportunities to its visitors to stay and enjoy the country. A 5-year multiple-entry tourist visa is provided by the UAE government that allows visitors to enter the country multiple times in a span of 5 years on self-sponsorship.

The General Directorate of Residency and Foreign Affairs (GDRFA) helps with the 5-year multiple-entry tourist visa issued by Dubai. Meanwhile, those who wish to apply from the immigration departments in Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah, and other parts of the UAE can use the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICA) website.

How long can you stay?

The 5-year multiple-entry visa is issued to those who stay for a 30, 60, or 90-day visit visa. As per GDRFA, this visa allows the applicants to stay in Dubai/UAE for 90 days continuously on each visit. It is possible to extend the days as you wish but the maximum number of days to stay in a year is 180 consecutive days. You can stay for different periods such as 30, 60 or 90 but in a row, you can only stay for 90 days in a year.

How to apply for 5 year multiple entry tourist visas?

  • Go to GDRFA website
  • Under services, select Entry Permits
  • Choose Issuing multiple-entry tourist visa (5years)
  • Click on Start Service
  • Login using username and password or using UAE pass
  • If you do not have an account, create an account by clicking on Register under Individuals
  • Fill in the application form
  • Enter the travel details, personal, passport and contact details as demanded
  • Provide the address in Dubai as well as outside Dubai
  • Click on Continue
  • Upload the relevant documents
  • Pay the service charges using debit or credit card
  • Click on Submit

Soon after submitting your application, a reference number will be provided with which you can track the status of your visa application.

Duration

Usually a 5-year multiple-entry tourist visa is issued within 2 or a maximum of 5 working days as per the GDRFA website. When the visa is finalised you will receive a notification via SMS or email. You will get a digital copy of your visa through email once finalised.

What is the cost?

The service charges of application differ depending on the application, applicant and duration of stay. A 30-day visit visa costs around Dh300 with a health insurance charge of Dh40. In the case of a 60-day visa, the amount ranges from Dh560 including the insurance cost. Similarly, the 90-day visit visa costs about Dh700 along with an insurance charge of Dh90.

There will be additional fees of Dh500 if the sponsor is from inside the country.

The five-year multiple-entry tourist visa allows visitors from all nationalities to enter UAE and stay there multiple times a year without a sponsor. This helps people stay connected with their family and friends. If the required documents are provided, one can apply for the visa through the GDRFA portal. This visa allows people to stay in the country for 180 days maximum in a year and if you stay longer the person will be subjected to UAE’s individual income tax and need to apply for work permits, residence visas, etc.
