How to update your phone number in Emirates ID Online
You can update your phone number in Emirates ID using ICA (Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship) website. The following are the steps:
- Visit the ICA ( Federal Authority for Identify and Citizenship ) on the drop-down and select “smart services “
- You will see another list of various smart services on that click on “other services – update personal information “, and choose “ start service “
- It directs you to the first page which requires you to fill out a form. You can fill in your nationality, passport number, name, ID number, date of entry, and date of birth.
- And it automatically takes you to the second step.
- Immediately select your nationality, fill in your “file type “(Visa or Residency) and “file number “. Choose your file type as “residence “then locate your file number on your visa page just above your passport number.
- Under the file section, there will be subsections. You should analyze the file and eventually choose one.
- The residents of Dubai should file for section 3, and those outside of the Emirate can choose section 4.
- After entering the details it directs you to another page.
- You should enter all details required; you will receive an option to enter a mobile number.
- Enter the mobile number and you will receive an OTP.
- Enter the OTP as confirmation.
- Enter the address information and insert the captcha given in the box.
- You will be drawn to the review page, and there you can check if all the details are accurate. And you can also edit the information there.
- After reviewing and correcting the information, you have to make the payment.
After making the payment, you will receive an email or message verification and will get a payment slip. And you have to wait for two to seven working days to get updates.

How to update your phone number in Emirates ID through ICA App
The following are the necessary steps to apply through ICA App:
Step 1
- Download the ICA App (forandroid ios )
- Choose your preferred language then login
- Click on “public info “services options, choose “update personal info “
- Then enter all the required personal details in the spaces provided
- Under “file type “choose “residency”, then under “ID type” choose “Emirates ID”
- Then enter your “Identify number” in the space provided.
- Enter your passport number and your email address, then click on “next “
Step 2
- Change to your preferred number
- Sent an OTP to confirm
- Proceed to next step
Step 3
- Make the payment and wait for a confirmation message via email or phone number. And this message will contain your payment invoice which has reference number.
- With this reference number you can track the status of your Emirates ID. You can also do this with the numbers shown in the front side of your Emirates ID card.
