Emirates Airlines Announced New Cabin Crew Recruitment Events in 340 Cities

Dubai:  Emirates cabin crew in Dubai has surpassed a significant milestone with their team already numbering over 20,000 people.

The airline has been hiring cabin crew on a global basis in accordance with the business strategic growth roadmap.  The Airline’s goal for expansion is reflected in its recruitment efforts, with recruitment events taking place in 340 cities on all six inhabited continents since 2022.

The current cabin crew members are from 140 nationalities. Nearly over 4,000 members of the present team have worked for the company for between 5-9 years, 3000 have worked between ten -14 years, 1,500 have done between 15-19 years  and about 400 have reached the milestone of 20 years of service. 

Over 30 years three crew members have been in the airline, which includes a male and female. Male Emirati pursur began working in 1987 and the female cabin crew began working there in 1994.

Emirates longest serving cabin crew, Moosa Mubarak once said:” I’ve flown as Emirates’ cabin crew for 36 years on over 3,500 flights. Even now, after all these years, I’m always keen and excited to start my duty on onboard.

Know about how much a cabin crew earn a month

A cabin crew member salary is divided into three parts mainly: a fixed salary, a basic wage, hourly pay for operated flights and an allowance for overseas meals.

Basic salary – Dh 4,650 per month

Flying pay – Dh 63.75 per hour based on an average of 80-100 hours per month

Average total pay–   Dh 10,338 per month

Night stops meals allowance are added to the salary in arrears the following month. The company offers hotel accommodation as well as transportation to and from the airport.

Growth outlooks

The opportunities for cabin crew to advance in their careers include moving up to a higher cabin and becoming a cabin supervisor, trainer or purser. The airline has almost 1,100 pursers who rose through the ranks from junior cabin crew, and all new cabin crew must complete eight week training programme.

Requirements for joining the Emirates cabin crew

Some of the requirements to qualify as Emirates cabin crew are as follows:

  • Outstanding  written and verbal communication skills in English (additional languages are an advantage)
  • A natural team player
  • At least 160 cm tall and being able to reach 212cm high
  • Should meet the UAE’s employment visa requirements
  • At least one year of experience working in the hospitality or customer service
  • A minimum of high school (Grade 12) education
  • No visible tattoos while wearing Emirates cabin crew uniform

Recruitment Procedures

Recruitment day starts with Introduction, Emirates recruitment team will give you an outline of the role to help you understand what to expect while working as cabin crew for Emirates and live in Dubai.

And they will assess the candidates by giving group activities and online test and it ends with interview.

If you are shortlisted, you need to give your updated CV in English, Valid ID or passport copy and education certificate to speed up the application process. And it is advised to share the digital copies of the documents to the recruitment team.
