To get PCC in Abu Dhabi, you need to visit Abu Dhabi Police website or download Abu Dhabi Police app on Play Store or App StoreFor the people of Sharjah to obtain PCC, You can either download their mobile app on Play Store or App Store, otherwise browse their website.

Documents required for PCC Application

To apply for a Police Clearance certificate, the basic documents required are:

  • Valid Emirates ID
  • Unified Number
  • Passport size photo
  • Valid Passport copy
  • A letter from the recipient confirming there are no pending criminal issues

Time & validity

The police clearance certificate is valid for three months from the date of issue. If an application is submitted on a working day, the applicants could expect to receive their certificates within 24 hours after applying. On the other hand, those who opt to apply for a soft copy or submit an in-person application can expect to obtain the certificate by email or in person on the same day. Depending on the police department, it may take three to five days to issue the police clearance certificate.

Service Fees for PCC

In the UAE, the Ministry of Interior (MOI) charges fees for Police Clearance Certificates (PCC), and it varies based on the certificate’s language. Those based in the nation must pay AED 50 for an Arabic PCC and AED 150 for an English PCC.

For individuals who need a hard copy of the PCC delivered to their home, an additional delivery fee of AED 13 is charged. In Dubai, PCCs can be electronically supplied to the applicant’s email after being applied online.

You can make the payment through E Dirham, Debit Card, or Cash in service centres and SPS centres.

The fee for citizens is AED 100 and for residents, it is AED 200. For those who are from outside the country, it costs AED 300. There is a knowledge and innovation fee of AED10 each. An additional fee of AED 100 is charged if applied through service centres in person.
